Richard Clar elected a Full Member into the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA). Comprised of the worlds foremost authorities on astronautics, the IAA was founded in Stockholm in 1960 by Theodore Von Karmen to explore leading edge issues in space research and technologies.

Artist Richard Clar’s 2003 orbital debris constellation sculpture video, COLLISION II, featuring the music of Marc Battier, was shown on Friday evening December 17 at 22h00 at the Palais de Tokyo as part of NewMix emf10. Included was a performance of New Butoh Space Dance by Tetsuro Fukuhara. This two-evening event, December 17 and 18, celebrated the Electronic Music Foundation’s 10th anniversary.
